MES Einführung in der Grundmassenproduktion

MES introduced into cacoa mass production

Introducing Autexis MES (manufacturing execution system) in 2012 enabled management to be linked to process control (Siemens) for rolling mill 5/6, and thus paved the way for the vertical gap to the production plants to be closed. The new production cockpit allows important processes and functions to be used: order management, key figure reporting (downtime analyses, performance and quality indicators, plant effectiveness – OEE, etc.), production data acquisition, infrastructure management, service and maintenance management, material usage and traceability. Management is continually informed about the current status of production via mobile devices (smartphone or tablet).

At the end of 2013, the next major rolling mill 2, operated in 3 shifts, was vertically integrated into MES (manufacturing execution system) in a roll-out project. Here, too, the functions can now be fully utilised and the order can be initiated from the production cockpit. A new OEE dashboard (display of charts and tables) based on HTML5 was developed and integrated at the same time.

At the end of 2014, rolling mill 7 was connected to MES for milk chocolate production. The option to split orders – which is of great importance to Chocolat Fray – was developed and implemented, thereby making it possible to split orders for cocoa mass into individual batches, perfectly matched to line capacities.
